THE LEGEND

In between the vocal cords scream stuck in throat
But the time has now come when the screaming won't do any good
Only then someone couldn't forget how the swords
They were wiped on the grass by men barely standing afoot

How the black tribe of crows flapped its wings over their heads
How the sky was laughing but then bit its tongue, it seems
And those left alive slowly walked with their trembling hands
Moment suddenly became eternity

And the sunset burned in funeral bonfire
And through clouds like angry wolves the stars were peeking
Thus lay with arms spread those gone to walk through night
And survivors were in dreamless slumber sleeping

And life's just a word— there's only love and then death
Hey, if all are asleep who's then going to sing?
Death is worth the leading towards it path
And love is worth all the waiting

STAR UNDER THE NAME SUN

White of snow, gray of ice
Smoothing out cracks in the ground
As quilt-blanket over it lies;
Roads intertwined in the town

And above the town clouds pass by
Screening off the heaven's glow
Yellow smoke's hovering over town
Born two thousand years ago
Years lived under light of the star under the name Sun

And two thousand years a war
Without reasons has been endured
The war is for young people chore
Against wrinkles effective cure

Redder than red there is blood
In an hour it's just Earth and then
After two grass and flowers spring up
After three it is living again
And is warmed by the rays of the star under the name Sun

And we know how it always shakes out
That fate's favorite son is he
Who has different laws than the crowd
And to die young is his destiny

Not remembering word "no" or word "yes"
And not knowing any titles or names
To reach stars knows which to follow the way
If this were a dream, he’d never guess . . .
And to fall burned by rays of the star under the name Sun

PEACEFUL NIGHT

Weight of days brings shudder to tops of our roofs
The shepherd in sky keeps his eye on clouds
City with patchwork of lights into night shoots
But stronger is night and immense is its clout
